Josh Wool is a photographer based in New York City. Originally from the Low Country of South Carolina, Wool spent more than a decade as a chef and restaurateur before finding photography in his early 30's. In just a few short years he has found a niche in creating intimate and timeless portraits. His approach is to strip away all that is unnecessary, to find beauty in simplicity. He was included in the PDN 30 and awarded an Artist Initiative Grant from VSCo. His first monograph, Modern Alchemy, was released in 2015.
